What happens when you are stressed?
More and more Americans describe their life is on “overload” and they feel they are suffering from burn out. Stress is when you are moved out of your “comfort zone”. When you feel stressed your body may respond as though you are being chased by a saber tooth tiger when it’s actually your cell phone hunting you down. Your heart races, your breathing quickens, you prepare for a burst of energy; this is known as the fight-or-flight response. Real physical ailments increase and often the immune system decreases in tandem.
Stress can be normal and useful, especially if we need to take a test or a deadline is looming. But stress left unchecked can cause us great harm.
What can you do about stress?
Create a stress management plan. Build a custom wellness toolbox with aromatherapy as a major tool in that toolbox.
Join us as we:
- Explore what is causing stress in peoples lives
- Discuss tools for a wellness toolbox and how aromatherapy can be an adjunct therapy to those tools
- Find out what a sample aromatic stress reduction wellness toolbox might look like
