After more than 10 years of creating, growing, and ultimately selling a successful online business manufacturing fragrance lamps and oil, candles, and other synthetically-scented products, I became interested in the benefits of using pure essential oils. I had so many questions! I wanted to have confidence that the products and information I passed on to my clients was based upon referenced data from experts in the industry… and so began my journey. In June 2017, I completed the 250-hour Certificate in Professional Aromatherapy program through Sedona Aromatherapie and have achieved the designation of Certified Aromatherapist. I am a professional member of both the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA) and the Alliance of International Aromatherapists (AIA).

I offer confidential consultations (in person, by phone, or email) that include a custom blend created specifically for you, addressing one or more physical or emotional issues. I blend my products using pure essential oils and carriers at safe dilution levels.

Joyessence offers aromatherapy certification courses by correspondence recognized by NAHA (National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy )and the CFA (Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists) . Joyessence Aromatherapy Centre Inc. was founded in 1996 and is an International Training Centre for students in many countries throughout the world. Lorrie Hargis is an Internationally recognized Registered Aromatherapist, Iridologist, Certified Flower Essence Practitioner and Kinesiologist. She has taught all over the world – America, Europe, Asia and California Aromatherapy Institute and Research. Currently based in France, Lorrie teaches Chemistry Masters Students at Montpellier University. She delivered 6 month training courses in essential oil skin care and perfume product development, registration approval and marketing with interns from universities throughout France. She authored: Common Scents - A Practical Guide to Aromatherapy. Guest speaker at Conferences and Conventions for health and wellness companies and professional Aromatherapy Trade bodies.
