Retention 

We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected - for example, to maintain professional certification records or to comply with applicable tax laws related to donations. When information is no longer needed, it is disposed of securely. 

No Sale of Data 

NAHA does not sell, rent, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for commercial or any other purposes. 

Access to Your Information 

Access to your personal information is limited to the following: 

• NAHA Executive Board of Directors and Staff - for internal administrative purposes only. 

• Regional Directors - who are provided with access to member contact information within their region solely for the purpose of organizing local meetings and events. 

If you do not wish your information to be shared with your Regional Director, please submit this request in writing to info@naha.org. 

4. SMS and Text Messaging (Mailchimp)

By opting in to receive SMS communications from NAHA:

• Consent: You provide express written consent to receive automated marketing and informational text messages. Consent is not a condition of membership.

• Charges: Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. NAHA does not charge for this service, but your carrier might.

• Opt-Out: You may opt out at any time by texting "STOP" to any message. Text "HELP" for assistance.

• Data Storage: Your mobile number and messaging history will be stored within our secure communication platform (Mailchimp).

5. Global Privacy Rights (including GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)

NAHA serves an international community. Regardless of your location, we provide the following protections:

• Right to Access & Correct: You may view or update your data via your Member Dashboard.

• Right to Deletion: You may request that we delete your data, subject to legal or financial record-keeping requirements.

• International Transfers: As a US-based non-profit, your data is processed in the United States. We ensure adequate protection in line with international standards (such as GDPR and CCPA) for all users.
