IMPORTANT NOTES:
In order to use NAHA logos and trademarks, you must be a NAHA member in good standing at the required level for each logo or seal. You must also submit a signed NAHA Logo Permission Form (sign into your member page to download your seal and the logo permission form). If your membership lapses, or if you are suspended for any reason, you must cease use of any and all NAHA logos and trademarks.
Level 2 members and above have the option to upgrade to a premium listing on the ‘Find An Aromatherapist’ Database (log into your member page to create or upgrade your listing). A nominal annual fee applies to premium listing upgrades.
NAHA offers several options for membership with a variety of benefits.
We do not exclude anyone from becoming a member of NAHA. All NAHA members must agree to abide by our Code of Ethics. In addition, Level 1-3 members are required to submit documentation to the NAHA office in order to qualify for membership.

1. Please start by setting up an account and entering a few personal details indicated by the Account Registration portion here https://naha.org/account/login. If you have already done this step then please log in to your account and proceed to the steps below. *Note setting up a NAHA account and applying for a Membership Subscription is not the same thing. Signing up for a NAHA account is free and allows you email updates and access to purchase items from our NAHA store.
2. Once you are logged in to your account home page please locate the 'Add a Subscription' option in the account navigation menu.
3. Choose the option that best corresponds to your educational and location status.
4. Proceed to the payment screen where you can apply coupon codes & enter in payment information. Please confirm and submit payment to access the application. Once you have paid you should be redirected back to the account home page where you can find access to the Application portion for Levels 1, 2, and 3 members. Friend/Student and Business Members will receive immediate access to member benefits upon confirmation of payment.
At this time new members should receive an email indicating what documents might be needed upon filling out the application portion. In addition, any requirements listed in the grey boxes for each membership level will be requested in document form. Applications will be reviewed within 48-72 business hours, and applicants will be contacted with any follow-up questions or upon approval.
Friend/Student of Aromatherapy
This category of membership is open to anyone interested in the field of aromatherapy. Students are welcome!

Friend/Student of Aromatherapy Requirements:
Level 1: NAHA Certified Aromatherapist (NCA)®
(Levels 1-3 require CEs)
This is an entry-level membership open to professionals such as massage therapists seeking to introduce aromatherapy into their practices, as well as individuals involved in promoting the field of aromatherapy and aromatherapy education.
Benefits for members in good standing:
Level 1 Membership Requirements:
This level of membership requires continuing education credits to remain active, in good standing. From start date of NAHA Level 1 subscription members will be required to provide proof of completion of 5 NAHA approved continuing education hours (CEs) per year, or 10 CEs every 2 years. *The Level 1 hour requirement applies to existing health professionals such as: Massage Therapists, Estheticians, Herbalists, Nurses, Physicians, etc.
Proof of the requirements listed above must be included with your application at the time of submission in order to be approved as a Level 1 member. You will have access to the Membership Application via your account home page once you have purchased a membership subscription to NAHA. Your membership will only become valid after the requirements listed above are received and approved which usually takes 48-72 business hours upon receipt of application. If you are not approved, then the membership charge will be refunded.
Level 2: NAHA Certified Professional Aromatherapist (NCPA)®
(Levels 1-3 require CEs)
This category of membership is open to individuals who are actively practicing and/or teaching professional aromatherapy. Professional members may vote and hold office in the Association.
Benefits for members in good standing
This level of membership requires continuing education credits to remain active, in good standing. From start date of NAHA Level 2 subscription members will be required to provide proof of completion of 10 NAHA approved continuing education hours (CEs) per year, or 20 CEs every 2 years. **150 hours in addition to the required Level 1 hours, for a total minimum of 200. The Level 2 hour requirement applies to existing health professionals such as: Massage Therapists, Herbalists, Nurses, Physicians, etc.
Proof of the requirements listed above must be included with your application at the time of submission in order to be approved as a Level 2 member. You will have access to the Membership Application via your account home page once you have purchased a membership subscription to NAHA. Your membership will only become valid after the requirements listed above are received and approved which usually takes 48-72 business hours upon receipt of application. If you are not approved, then the membership charge will be refunded.
Level 3: NAHA Certified Clinical Aromatherapist (NCCA)®
(Levels 1-3 require CEs)
This category of membership is open to individuals who are actively practicing and/or teaching clinical aromatherapy. Clinical members may vote and hold office in the Association.
Benefits for members in good standing:
This level of membership requires continuing education credits to remain active, in good standing. From start date of NAHA Level 3 subscription members will be required to provide proof of completion of 15 NAHA approved continuing education hours (CEs) per year, or 30 CEs every 2 years. ***100 hours in addition to the required Level 1 & Level 2 hours, for a total minimum of 300. The Level 3 hour requirement applies to existing clinicians (Physicians, Nurses, Acupuncturists, Medical Herbalists, etc).
Proof of the requirements listed above must be included with your application at the time of submission in order to be approved as a Level 3 member. You will have access to the Membership Application via your account home page once you have purchased a membership subscription to NAHA. Your membership will only become valid after the requirements listed above are received and approved which usually takes 48-72 business hours upon receipt of application. If you are not approved, then the membership charge will be refunded.
Business Members
This category of membership is open to individuals who own or manage a business that offers aromatherapy products or services. Business members may vote and hold office in the Association.

Donor membership is open to anyone who wishes to support the work of NAHA in various areas of aromatherapy.

Grand Donor membership is open to anyone who wishes to significantly contribute to NAHA´s work and positively impact the progress of true aromatherapy in the US.

IMPORTANT CHANGES:
The membership requirements were updated by the NAHA board April 25, 2017 and take effect January 1, 2018. Existing NAHA members are grandfathered to their current membership level. All members shall have until December 31, 2020 to upload proof that their CEUs have been completed. This proof should be uploaded through your member page.
